The Original Devonshire Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 slices toast, crust trimmed off | ||
| 18 slices bacon, cooked crisp | ||
| 30 thin slices cooked turkey breast | ||
| Cheese Sauce | ||
| Melted butter | ||
| Grated Parmesan cheese mixed with a little paprika | ||
Directions
For each serving, use a flat, individual serving size, oven proof casserole dish.
Put 1 slice toast in each dish; top toast with 3 slices bacon.
Add 5 slices turkey.
Cover each sandwich with 1/6 of the Cheese Sauce.
Drizzle with butter, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese paprika mixture.
Bake in a preheated 450°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
