Thai Pork And Basil Stir Fry Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| 2 or 3 serrano or jalapefio chiles, seeded and slivered | ||
| Boneless pork | 3/4 pound, thinly sliced | |
| 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, cut into fine shreds | ||
| 2 green onions (including tops), cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces | ||
| Water or chicken broth | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Fish sauce | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon water | ||
Directions
Place a wok or wide frying pan over high heat until hot.
Add the oil, swirling to coat the sides.
Add the garlic and chiles and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 10 seconds.
Add the pork and stir-fry until it is no longer pink, about 2 1/2 minutes.
Add the basil and green onions and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
Add the broth, fish sauce, and sugar; mix well and add the cornstarch solution.
Cook, stirring, until the sauce boils and thickens.
