Ingredients

 6 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
 1 1/2 cups each chopped onion and sweet red pepper
 Garlic3 Clove (5gm), minced
 1 tablespoon each chili powder and dry mustard
 Cider vinegar1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 cups each ketchup and chili sauce
 1/2 cup each molasses, and firmly packed light brown sugar
 3 tablespoons each Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke
 Hot pepper sauce2 Teaspoon

Directions

1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over moderate heat. Add the onion, red pepper, garlic, chili powder, and mustard; saute for 5 minutes. Lower the heat, add the remaining ingredients, and simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes. In a food processor or blender, process until smooth. Use on burgers, chops, or ribs. Refrigerate for up to 2 week;, freeze for up to 3 months.
