Teriyaki Steak Recipe
Teriyaki Steak is a unique and winning steak dish that is perfect for your dinner parties. Surprise your guests with this filling and tasty dish. I am sure they will love the Teriyaki Steak.
Ingredients
| 2 pound beef sirloin steak, | ||
| 1 to 1 1/4 inches thick | ||
| Soy sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ginger | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Diagonally slash outer edge of fat on steak at 1 inch intervals to prevent curling (do not cut into lean).
Score meat (cut lightly in a crisscross pattern) and place in shallow glass dish.
Heat remaining ingredients to boiling, stirring occasionally; pour on meat.
Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours, turning meat occasionally.
Set oven control at broil and/or 550°.
Remove meat from marinade.
Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat about 10 minutes on each side for rare, about 12 minutes for medium.
Cut meat across grain at a slanted angle into 1/4 inch slices.
Play up the Oriental origin and serve with Snow Peas and Carrot Nuggets (page 62), buttered rice and, as dessert, lemon sherbet and Polynesian Cookies
