Teriyaki Sloppy Joes Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground chuck | 1 1/4 Pound | |
| 1/4 cup chopped green onions | ||
| Celery | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Water chestnuts | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Ginger root | 1/4 Teaspoon, minced | |
| 1 dove garlic, minced | ||
| 3 tablespoons low-sodium teriyaki sauce | ||
| Tomato Paste | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup reduced-calorie catsup | ||
| Cider vinegar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted | ||
Directions
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large nonstick skillet,- cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned and vegetables are render.
Drain well and pat dry with paper towels.
Wipe pan drippings from skillet with a paper towel.
Return meat mixture to skillet; add teriyaki sauce, tomato paste, catsup, and vinegar, stir-ring well.
Reduce heat to low, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring frequenrty.
Add water, stirring well; cook an additional 5 minutes.
Spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture over each bun half.
Drain well and pat dry with paper towels.
