Teriyaki For Two Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound sirloin, cut into 2-inch cubes | ||
| Brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Soy sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 large clove garlic, crushed | ||
| Ginger root | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
Directions
Put all ingredients in a large bowl and toss to mix.
Marinate at room temperature 2 to 3 hours, if time permits.
About 20 minutes before serving, thread beef cubes on 4 short skewers.
Baste with teriyaki sauce.
Place under broiler or barbecue over coals, basting and turning often.
To test doneness, cut a small slit in center of one cube, or press finger into cube.
Medium-rare steak is pink in center and springs back when pressed.
Serve skewered beef on a bed of hot rice and pour any remaining teriyaki sauce over all.
