Tequila Orange Chicken Recipe
Tequila orange chicken is a lovely and peppy chicken recipe. Great for parties, the tequila chicken has a surprise of unqiue flavors to it. Grilled to cook, it is brushed with a prepared fruity sauce of orange juice and tequila pepped with chopped jalapenos to taste.
Ingredients
| Orange juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tequila | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tablespoons seeded and finely chopped Hot Jalapeno Peppers | ||
| Orange peel | 1/2 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Chicken | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| 3 whole chicken breasts, split | ||
Directions
To make sauce: In 1-quart saucepan, combine juice, tequila, peppers and peel.
Over high heat, heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Add gravy; heat through, stirring constantly.
On grill rack, place chicken, skin side up, directly above medium coals.
Grill, uncovered, 1 hour or until tender and juices run clear, turning and brushing often with sauce during the last 30 minutes.
