Tea Time Banana Walnut Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable shortening | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |

| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Ripe bananas | 3 Large, mashed (About 1 Cup) | |
| Walnuts | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon |

Directions
1 In a medium size bowl of an electric mixer,cream the shortening and sugr until fluffy.
2 Add eggs,1 at a time,beating well after eah addition.
3 Onto a wax paper,sift flour, soda and salt. Stir quickly into the creamed mixture just until blended.
4 Stir in mashed bananas, walnuts and vanilla.Pour into a greased loaf pan, 9x5x3.
5 Bake in a moderate oven at 350 degrees farenheit for 1 hour, or until the center is firm.Cool for 5 minutes
6 Turn out onto a wire rack.Cool completely and wrap in wax paper, transparent wrap or foil; let stand for 24 hours.
SERVING
7 Cut into slices and serve.
