Tasty Pork Ragout Recipe
Tasty pork ragout is a meaty pork stew prepared with cubed pork. Cooked together with cauliflower and carrots with onions in the gravy, it is flavored with garlic and herbed with rosemary. Simmered to a finish, it makes a filling meal with rice or noodles.
Ingredients
| 1/2 pound boneless pork loin | ||
| Onion | 1 Small, chopped | |
| 1 large clove garlic, pressed | ||
| Dried rosemary | 1/2 Teaspoon, crumbled | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 head Cauliflower, cut into flowerets | ||
| Carrots | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Hot buttered noodles | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Cut pork into 1-inch cubes.
In large skillet, brown pork with onion, garlic and rosemary in butter.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir in water.
Cover; simmer 20 minutes.
Add cauliflower and carrots.
Cover; simmer 5 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
