Tart Cranberry-Orange Ice Recipe
This is a delicious Tart Cranberry-orange Ice which will make you keep asking for more! Best enjoyed as a Dessert this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. You don't have to be a gourmet to judge how mouth-watering and tasty this dish really is.
Ingredients
2 (12-ounce) packages fresh cranberries
1 quart unsweetened orange juice, divided
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
Directions
Wash cranberries, combine with 2 cups orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar in a large saucepan.
Cook 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until cranberries pop, put through a food mill.
Add remaining orange juice and cardamom to cranberry mixture, stir well.
Pour into a 9-inch square pan.
Place in freezer 3 to 4 hours or until almost frozen.
Place mixture in a mixing bowl, beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until fluffy.
Return to pan.
Freeze 8 hours.
