Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon honey
1 1/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour
Directions
In a large bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese until soft, fluffy, and well blended.
Blend in milk and honey.
Gradually add flour to make a dough that is just firm enough to handle.
Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 450°F.
To make tart shell, roll out dough between 2 sheets of wax paper.
Carefully remove one sheet of wax paper, and invert pastry over tart pan with a removable rim.
Remove the second sheet of wax paper, and fit pastry into pan without stretching it. (If pastry becomes too soft and difficult to handle, chill in refrigerator.) With a fork, prick pastry on the bottom and sides at 1/2-inch intervals.
Place pastry shell on top shelf of oven, and reduce heat to 400 °F.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned all over.
Cool on a wire rack.
After filling pastry shell, remove rim.
