Tangy Rice Salad Recipe
The tangy rice salad is prepared with cooked rice and flavored with a medley of curry powder, lemon juice, vinegar and mayonnaise. Along with added raisins, the tangy rice salad has green peppers in it too.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 cups hot cooked rice
2 teaspoons curry powder or to taste
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
3/4 cup raisins
1/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
2/3 cup yogurt
2/3 cup mayonnaise Lettuce
Directions
Sprinkle vinegar, lemon juice and oil over hot rice; mix lightly.
Add curry and turmeric; blend.
Stir in raisins, green pepper, yogurt and mayon-naise; blend well.
Place in 6-cup mold; chill 2 hours.
To serve, unmold on lettuce-lined plate.
