Tangy Lamb Shoulder Chops Recipe
Tangy Lamb Shoulder Chops is one of my favorite dishes. This lamb delicacy is quie easy to prepare too. Just give this a try and you will be happy that you did.
Ingredients
| 4 lamb shoulder chops, cut 3/4 inch thick (about 2 pounds) | ||
| Shortening | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1/4 cup hot style catsup | ||
| Dried basil | 1 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Onion | 4 | |
| Green pepper | 4 To taste | |
| American Cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
Directions
Advance preparation:
Trim excess fat from chops.
Brown the chops in hot shortening.
Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt and dash pepper.
Place in 9x9x2 inch baking dish.
Spread with catsup; sprinkle with basil.
Top with onion and green pepper.
Cover; refrigerate up to 24 hours.
Before serving:
Bake, covered, at 350° about 1 hour.
Uncover; sprinkle cheese inside peppers.
Bake till cheese melts.
