Tangy Turnips Recipe

Ingredients
3 medium turnips, peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon salt
4 slices bacon, diced
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon all purpose flour
1/4 cup vinegar
Directions
Place turnips in a saucepan; cover with water.
Add salt, and bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until turnips are tender.
Drain and set aside.
Fry bacon in a large skillet until crisp.
Combine sugar, flour, and vinegar, stirring well; stir into bacon and drippings.
Cook over medium heat until slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
Pour mixture over turnips, and toss gently
