Tamale Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 Pound | |
| 1 cup yellow corn meal | ||
| Onions | 2 Large, chopped | |
| 1 medium size can tomatoes | ||
| Chili powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Small can ripe olives | ||
| 1 tsp. salt and a little pepper | ||
| 1 tsp. salt and a little pepper | ||
Directions
Mix ground beef and onions in hot skillet or deep pot, stir and cook a little and add tomatoes.
Let come to boil, add corn meal, juice of olives and keep stirring.
If too dry add water.
Add salt, pepper and chili powder.
Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
Remove, add olives, place in baking dish and when ready to eat bake for 3/4 hour in 350° oven.
This is nice served with crackers, celery and shredded lettuce.
