 8 taco shells
 12 ounces 90% lean ground beef
 Onion1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), minced
 Green chili peppers1 4 Ounce, drained
 Chili powder2 Teaspoon
 Ground cumin1/4 Teaspoon
 Several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce (optional)
 Lettuce1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), shredded
 Tomatoes1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Monterey jack cheese1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup taco sauce

Directions

Heat the taco shells according to the package directions.
Meanwhile, for filling, in a large skillet cook meat, onion, and garlic till meat is brown and onion is tender.
Drain off fat.
Stir in the chili peppers, chili powder, cumin, and, if desired, hot pepper sauce.
Heat through.
Fill each taco shell with some of the meat mixture.
Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, and taco sauce
