Mexican Taco Burgers Recipe
The taco burgers are easy to prepare and microwaved ground beef burgers flavored with taco sauce. Served on split hamburger buns, these burgers can be microwaved and served with lettuce leaves. Made spicy with chili sauce, the taco burgers can be served with salsa or taco sauce.
Ingredients
| 1/3 cup salsa or taco sauce | ||
| 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Chili powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Lettuce leaves | 4 | |
| Hamburger buns | 4 | |
| Processed cheese slice | 4 , pasteurized | |
Directions
In a mixing bowl combine salsa or taco sauce, bread crumbs, chili powder, and salt.
Add ground beef; mix well.
Shape meat mixture into four 3/4 inch thick patties.
Arrange patties in an 8x8x2-inch microwave safe baking dish.
Cover loosely with waxed paper Micro cook on 100% power (high) for 3 minutes.
Drain off fat, gave the dish a half turn, and turn meat patties over.
Cook on high for 3 to 5 minutes more or till no pink remains.
Place lettuce on buns, if desired.
Top with cooked meat patties and process cheese spread.
Pass additional salsa or taco sauce with burgers, if desired.
