Tabouli Dolma With Tomato Sauce Recipe

Tabouli Dolmas is a zesty tabouli salad mix delicacy. I simply adore this Tabouli Dolmas recipe. A great one to go after!

Ingredients

 
Stuffed Grape Leaves
 
1 pkg Tabouli Salad Mix
 
1/3 cup (80 ml) olive oil
 
1 1/4 cups (295 ml) cold water
 
2/3 cup (160 ml) tomato sauce
 
1 jar grape leaves, rinsed (30 leaves)
 
1 clove garlic, chopped
 
1 (240ml) cup water

Directions

Place tabouli in a bowl and add oil and cold water.
Mix together and let stand for about 1 hour until liquids are absorbed.
Then mix in tomato sauce.
Place grape leaf on a flat surface with stem end facing up, clip stem if long.
Put 1-2 tbs of tabouli in the center, fold the side of the leaf in then roll up tightly starting at stem end.
Place stuffed leaves in a shallow stovetop pan in a single layer with the folded side down.
Cover with a single layer of flat grape leaves.
Sprinkle chopped garlic over leaves.
Add 1 cup of water, cover pan and simmer for 45 minutes checking occasionally on water level.
