 Pork1 3/4 Pound, minced
 Lean bacon5 Ounce
 Sausage5 Ounce, smoked
 Lard3 Ounce
 2 lb. sour cabbage
 Rice5 Ounce
 Onions2 Ounce
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm)
 Red paprika
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper1
 3 gills sour cream

Directions

Fry the chopped onion in 1 1/2 oz. of lard.
Mix it with the well chopped dill, then add the minced pork, salt and pepper and season with paprika and then fry slowly for 10 to 12 mins., stirring constantly.
Cut the lean bacon into small cubes.
Heat them in a pan, then add the sliced sausage and fry for 2 or 3 mins.
Parboil the rice and put aside.
Boil the cabbage in salted water for 20 mins., and then drain off the water.
Grease a suitable casserole or fireproof dish with 1 oz. of lard.
Lay one third of the cabbage at the bottom, then sprinkle with sausage and bacon; then put another third of the cabbage over this and pour on sour cream; then put in a layer of parboiled rice; then the fried minced meat; then put a layer of the rest of the cabbage on top.
Sliced green paprika and sliced tomato can be added when in season.
Sprinkle the rest of the sour cream on top, and also sprinkle some red paprika on it.
Add 1 oz. of melted lard and cook in a moderate oven for 1 1/2 hrs.
