Szechwan Beef Stew Recipe
Ingredients
| Stewing beef | 250 Gram | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm) | |
| Onions spring | 2 | |
| Ginger slice | 3 | |
| Star anise | 1 | |
| Szechwan pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Soy sauce | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Sherry | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 teaspoon chilli-bean paste | ||
| Sesame oil | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Trim and cut the beef into 3-cm (1 -in) cubes.
Put the meat and all the other ingredients except the sesame oil and black pepper into a saucepan and add just enough water to cover the meat.
Cover the pan and bring to the boil, then turn down the heat and simmer for 1 1/2- hours.
When cooking is finished, there should be almost no gravy left.
Add the sesame oil and black pepper and serve.
