Ingredients
Butter - 1/3 stick
Flour - 2 tablespoons
Hot milk - 1/2 cup
Swiss cheese - 1/2 pound, grated
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Nutmeg to taste
Egg yolks – 2
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
MAKING
2) Take a pan and melt butter in it. Stir in flour.
3) Add milk and stir vigorously to mix well.
4) Stir in cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix well.
5) Stir in egg yolks and mix.
6) Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes.
7) Remove from oven and cool in refrigerator.
8) Shape mixture into balls.
9) Roll in additional flour and fry in deep fat until brown in color.
SERVING
10) Serve Swiss Cheese Balls with wooden picks.
