Swiss Green Pea Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Mayonnaise | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Dijon Mustard | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 2 quarts torn romaine or iceberg lettuce leaves | ||
| 6 strips crisply cooked bacon, crumbled | ||
| 6 ounces Swiss cheese, cut into matchstick- size pieces | ||
| Frozen peas package | 1 , thawed | |
| Red onion | 1 Small, thinly sliced | |
| Celery stalks | 2 , thinly sliced | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Combine mayonnaise, sugar, nutmeg, and mustard; set aside.
In a salad bowl, mix together lettuce, bacon (reserve 2 tablespoons), cheese, peas, onion, and celery.
Pour over dressing and toss gently to coat evenly.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Garnish with reserved bacon.
