Swiss Cheese Rounds Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter margarine | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), softened | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground red pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Swiss Cheese | 3/4 pound, shredded | |
| 1 egg, slightly beaten | ||
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. In large bowl, with hand knead flour, butter, salt, ground red pepper, and 2 1/2 cups cheese until well mixed.
2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls about 2 inches apart on 2 ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten each ball into 1/4-inch-thick round; lightly brush tops with beaten egg; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until browned; Remove cheese rounds from cookie sheets; cool on wire racks.
