Swiss Cheese Fondue Using Kirsch Recipe
Swiss Cheese Fondue is a wonderful dip dish that often gets eaten up faster than the bread sticks which are served with it! This yummy Swiss Cheese Fondue is very popular amongst my guests. Try it for yourself!
Ingredients
| Shredded Swiss cheese | 1 pound, divided | |
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic powder | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Dash nutmeg | ||
| 1 cup white wine or apple juice | ||
| Kirsch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| French bread, cut into cubes or bread sticks | ||
Directions
Toss cheese with flour, garlic, pepper and nutmeg.
Heat wine in 2-quart casserole, at HIGH 2 to 2 1/2 minutes.
Gradually add 1/2 cheese; stir until smooth.
Cook at MEDIUM 2 to 3 minutes; stir once.
Add remaining cheese and Kirsch, stir until smooth.
Cook at MEDIUM 2 to 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted; stir once.
