Swiss Cheese Fondue Recipe

Ingredients
1 garlic clove
2 cups dry white wine
1 pound Swiss cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons kirsch
Dash pepper
Dash nutmeg (optional)
Waffles or French bread
Directions
Rub bottom and sides of earthenware casserole or chafing dish with garlic.
Add wine; heat to boiling point, but do not boil.
Gradually add cheese, stirring constantly with wooden spoon until cheese melts.
Mix together cornstarch and kirsch; add to cheese mixture, stirring constantly.
Cook a few minutes until thickened and blended.
Stir in pepper; sprinkle with nutmeg.
