Sweetheart Tea Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1 package yellow cake mix
1 package vanilla-flavored creamy frosting mix
1 cup apricot jam
Red cinnamon candies
Directions
1. Grease a 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan; line with greased wax paper.
2. Prepare cake mix, following label directions; spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
3. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 20 minutes, or until center springs back when lightly pressed with fingertip. Cool slightly on wire rack; remove from pan; peel off paper; cool.
4. Set cake flat on cutting board or counter top; cut put 48 tiny rounds with a 1 1/2-inch cutter. Split each round and put together with jam. (Use cake trimmings for family nibbles.)
