Sweet Sour Country Style Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
2 lbs country style ribs 1 kg
Black pepper, flavored salt, or pizza seasoning
3/4 cup ketchup 175 mL
1/2 cup pineapple jam or fine shred marmalade 125 mL
1/4 cup French dressing 50 mL
2 tbs salad oil 30 mL
Garlic powder or crushed fresh garlic
Few shakes Tabasco, optional
Directions
Rub a generous amount of pepper and flavored salt into the lean surfaces of the meat and place fat side up in a shallow, lightly oiled bake pan.
Roast at 375F (190C) for 30 minutes and turn: Brush with a mixture of the remaining ingredients and bake at 325F (160C) for 2 hours, turning and brushing with the sauce every 20 minutes.
Add a little water to the pan during cooking if necessary.
Slice and serve with whipped sweet potatoes and creamed Brussels sprouts.
