Sweet-Sour Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 cup vinegar
5 tablespoons olive oil
1 chicken, 2 1/2 to 3 pounds, cut in serving pieces
1/2 cup chopped ham
2 Spanish sausages, cut in chunks
4 cups water
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Directions
Combine salt, pepper, garlic, 1/4 cup vinegar, and 2 tablespoons oil in deep bowl; add chicken pieces.
Refrigerate for 8 hours, or overnight.
Brown chicken in remaining oil in skillet.
Add ham and sausages, combine water, sugar, and remaining vinegar.
Add to chicken.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and cover.
Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes
