Ingredients

 
Sevian - 1/2 kg
 
Sugar - 350 gms
 
Almonds - 1/2 cup
 
Ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
 
Green cardamoms - 6
 
Ghee - 200 gms
 
Water - 4 cups
 
Raisins - 1/2 cup
 
Mace - 1 piece

Directions

MAKING
1 In a frying pan, heat the ghee.
2 Add in raisins and peeled almonds, cook until light brown.
3 Remove from the ghee, using a slotted spoon.
4 Add in the sevian in the remaining ghee, cook until brown.
5 Add in the sugar and water, cook on high heat for 8 minutes or until water is absorbed.
6 Lower the heat, and add in ground nutmeg, green cardamoms and mace, mix well and cover the pan.
7 Put some weight on the lid for a few minutes, until sevian are tender.
8 Stir in fried almonds and raisins.


SERVING
10 Serve hot.
