Sweet Potato Pie Recipe

This Sweet Potato Pie will make your taste buds crave for more! There is not a single month when I don't serve this yummy Dessert! You owe me a thanks for sharing this recipe.

Ingredients

 
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
 
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
 
1 teaspoon cinnamon
 
1/2 teaspoon ginger
 
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
 
1 1/2 cups mashed cooked sweet potatoes
 
3 eggs, slightly beaten
 
1/3 cup corn syrup
 
1/3 cup milk
 
Pinch of salt
 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 
1 unbaked (9 inch) pie shell

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Cream the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Add the sweet potatoes and eggs; mix well.
Mix together the corn syrup, milk and salt; stir into the egg mixture.
Finally, stir in the vanilla.
Spoon the mixture into the pie shell.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake for 45 minutes longer.
