Sweet Pongal Recipe
Ingredients
| Rice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Moong dal | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 5 Cup (80 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Cup (32 tbs) (adjust sugar as per taste) | |
| Ghee | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Raisins | 10 | |
| Cashew nuts | 6 , chopped |
Directions
Wash a cup of rice & and a cup of moong dal. Add 5 cups water & pressure cook up to 5 whistles. The rice & dal should be cooked thoroughly and become almost soft.
Add sugar & mix thoroughly. You can add more sugar for more sweetness.
Heat ghee in a small wok. Add raisins and chopped cashews. Mix until cashews turn lightly brown. Add this to rice. Mix well.
Serve Hot.
