Directions

Heat a pan, add 2 cups of water, the ribs, soy sauce and salt.
When it boils turn down the heat and simmer for 1 hour.
Transfer the ribs and liquid into a saucepan, and add the sugar and sherry.
Turn the heat high and continue to cook till the liquid is all evaporated.
Blend the ingredients for the sauce and pour slowly over the ribs.
Continue to cook for about 2 minutes or until the sauce becomes thick and smooth.
Place the ribs on a flat dish, pour the sauce on top and serve at once.
