Sweet Spiced Nuts Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 cups almond, cashew, pecan or walnut halves or combination
Directions
In 2-quart casserole, combine sugar, water, salt, cinnamon, allspice, cloves and nutmeg.
Cook at HIGH 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until sugar is melted; stir in nuts.
Cook at HIGH 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes, or until syrup begins to harden.
Immediately pour nut mixture onto buttered cookie sheet.
Spread thinly.
Cool; break into small pieces.
Cook at HIGH 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until sugar is melted; stir in nuts.
