Sweet-Sour Smoked Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients
8 thick smoked pork chops
2 tablespoons butter or salad oil
1 1/2 cups regular-strength chicken broth
1/4 cup each cornstarch, soy sauce, and brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 green pepper, sliced
8 small white onions, quartered
1 can (15 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained
Directions
Brown chops on both sides in butter.
Add broth, cover, and simmer 20 to 30 minutes, or until tender.
Blend together the cornstarch, soy sauce, brown sugar, and vinegar; add to pan juices with the chops, stirring until thickened.
Add the green pepper, onions, and pineapple.
Cover and cook about 10 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
Add broth, cover, and simmer 20 to 30 minutes, or until tender.
