Ingredients

Juice of 12 medium-sized or 10 large sweet limes
 Salt1 Pinch
3-4 tbsp castor sugar or to taste
 Lime juice1 Tablespoon
 Lime1 Bottle (1l)

Directions

MAKING
1. Make sure that the juice is free of pips. These give the drink a bitter taste. Remove the juice using a spoon as straining the juice will lead to loss of the good fibers.
2. In a stainless steel bowl or container, combine all the ingredients and stir until the sugar dissolves.
3. Taste to check the sweetness and sourness and adjust to your liking. The drink tastes better when more lemony.
4. Cover the container with its lid or with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for a minimum 6 to 8 hours until it is frozen like ice.

SERVING
5. When you are ready to serve the frappe, remove the container from the freezer and use a fork or an ice-cream scoop to scrape the ice.
6. Scoop the frappe into tall glasses.
7. Garnish with a slice of sweet lime if you like.
8. Provide a straw and a sundae spoon with the frappe.
