Sweet & Hot Marinated Mushrooms Recipe

1/3 cup (80 ml) honey
1/4 cup (60 ml) white wine vinegar
1/4 cup (60 ml) dry white wine or vegetable broth
2 tbs (30 ml) vegetable oil
1 tbs (15 ml) soy sauce
1 tbs (15 ml) sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small green onion, chopped
1 tsp (5 ml) grated fresh ginger root
1/2 tsp (3 ml) grated orange peel
1/4 tsp (1 ml) ground red pepper
1 lb (455 g) fresh small button mushrooms parsley sprigs, for garnish, optional orange wedges for garnish, optional
Directions
Combine honey, vinegar, wine, vegetable oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, green onion, ginger root, orange peel and red pepper in small saucepan.
Cook and stir mixture over low heat until hot.
Place mushrooms in heatproof bowl; pour hot marinade over mushrooms.
Cover and marinate 3 hours in refrigerator, stirring occasionally.
Arrange mushrooms in serving dish; garnish with parsley sprigs and orange wedges, if desired.
