Combine remaining water and milk.
Stir in yeast, salt, and beaten eggs.
Beat in enough flour to make a thick, sticky batter.
Put batter in a warm place for a few hours, or overnight, to rise.
Stir batter down and mix well.
Drop from a tablespoon into hot deep cooking oil (360 degrees) and fry until brown on all sides.
Remove from oil, drain on absorbent paper, then dip into hot syrup.
Place on racks to drain and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Syrup: In a saucepan combine 1 cup honey, 1 cup water, and 2 cups sugar.
Bring to a boil and boil for 10 to 15 minutes.
