Sweet Dough Round Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 quantity risen sweet bread dough
1/3 cup raisins
3 tablespoons chopped candied peel
Directions
Work the raisins and candied peel into the risen dough by squeezing and kneading until evenly mixed.
Form the fruited dough into a 6-inch round and lift onto a greased baking sheet.
Brush the surface with egg wash and mark it into 8 pieces using a sharp knife.
Cover and let rise.
Bake in the center of a moderately hot oven (375°F) for 25-30 minutes.
Cool on a cake rack and serve sliced and buttered.
