Sweet Cinnamon Orange Sorbet Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 orange-spice herbal tea bags | ||
| 2 sweet almond herbal tea bags | ||
| Cinnamon stick | 1 | |
| Boiling water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Orange rind | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| 1/2 teaspoon barley malt sweetener | ||
| 4 knotted strips of orange rind | ||
Directions
Put the tea bags and cinnamon stick in a bowl and pour the boiling water over them.
Allow the tea to infuse until it is very strong, about 5 minutes.
Remove and discard the tea bags and cinnamon.
Stir in the remaining ingredients and let the tea cool.
If you have an electric or hand-powered ice cream maker, follow the manufacturer's instructions for making sherbet.
To make the sorbet in your freezer, put the bowl in the freezer and leave it until the tea is frozen solid, about 2 to 3 hours.
Remove from the freezer and break the tea into large chunks with a fork.
Transfer the chunks to a food processor and process with the metal blade until uniformly textured.
Divide among 4 dessert dishes or return the sorbet to the bowl and replace in the freezer for at least 30 minutes
