Sweet Cherry O Lee Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 1/2 cup cold water
 
1 tsp cornstarch
 
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
 
1 tsp unsweetened cherry drink mix
 
2 cup vanilla ice cream
 
2 cup frozen sweet cherries, thawed

Directions

Combine cold water and cornstarch in a saucepan.
Stir to dissolve cornstarch.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
Continue boiling for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla extract.
Cool to lukewarm; then stir in cherry drink mix.
Place 1/3 cup (90 mL) of ice cream in each of the six glasses. (Wine glasses are very pretty to use.) Top each with 1/3 cup (90 mL) of the thawed sweet cherries.
Distribute the warm cherry sauce evenly between the glasses.
