Ingredients

 2 1/2 to 3 pounds meaty pork spareribs
 1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
 Lemon juice3 Tablespoon (Sauce)
 1 small jar strained apricots, apricots-and-applesauce or pears
 Molasses1 1/2 Teaspoon (Sauce)
 Dark corn syrup1 1/2 Teaspoon (Sauce)
 Ground ginger1/2 Teaspoon (Sauce)
 Hot pepper sauce1 Dash (Sauce)
 Chili Sauce1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Sauce)
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), pressed (Sauce)
 Soy sauce1 Tablespoon (Sauce)
 Dry mustard1/2 Teaspoon (Sauce)
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper.
Broil 3 to 5 minutes per side.
Place in 9 x l3-inch baking dish.
For sauce: Mix all ingredients in 1-quart pan.
Heat briefly on medium-low, stirring until combined.
Reduce oven to 350°F.
Pour half the sauce over ribs and bake uncovered 30 minutes.
Pour remaining sauce over spareribs and continue baking for another 30 minutes.
