Sweet And Sour Roast Venison Recipe

Ingredients

 
Salt and pepper
 
1 boar rack
 
2 tbsp shortening
 
1/2 cup onions, sliced
 
1 garlic clove, minced
 
Sauce
 
2 tbsp brown sugar
 
1/2 tsp dry mustard
 
1/2 cup lemon juice
 
1/4 cup vinegar
 
1/3 cup ketchup
 
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Rub salt and pepper into boar rack.
In a cast iron cooking pot, melt shortening.
Brown roast all over.
Add water, tomato sauce, onions and garlic.
Reduce heat.
Simmer 30 minutes or so.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix sauce ingredients.
Pour over roast.
Continue cooking around 1 hour or until meat is tender.
