Original Sweet And Sour Pork Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound boneless pork, cut into 1-inch pieces | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Beef | 1 Can (10oz), condensed | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Green pepper | 1 To taste, cut into strips | |
| Sweet red pepper | 1 To taste, cut into strips | |
| Cornstarch | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Pineapple chunks | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Hot cooked rice | ||
Directions
1. In 2-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine pork and garlic. Cover with lid; microwave on high 6 minutes or until pork is no longer pink, stirring once during cooking. Spoon off any excess liquid.
2. Stir in consomme, brown sugar, vinegar and peppers. Cover; microwave on high 5 minutes or until boiling, stirring twice during cooking.
3. In cup, stir together cornstarch and soy sauce. Stir into casserole. Stir in pineapple. Cover; microwave on high 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring once during cooking. Let stand, covered, 3 minutes. Serve over rice.
