Sweet And Sour Pea Pods And Carrots Recipe
Ingredients
| Frozen peas | 2 Cup (16 tbs), thawed | |
| Orange juice | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tablespoon bottled sweet-and-sour sauce | ||
| Cornstarch | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Aniseed | 1/4 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Carrots | 3 Medium, cut into strips | |
| 4 green onions, bias sliced into 1" pieces | ||
Directions
If using fresh snow peas, remove the ends and strings.
In a small bowl, combine the orange juice, sweet-and-sour sauce, cornstarch and aniseed; set aside.
Spray an unheated large skillet with no-stick spray.
Heat the skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the carrots.
Cook and stir for 4 minutes.
Add the fresh or thawed snow peas and onions.
Cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes more or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
Stir in the orange juice mixture.
Cook and stir until the mixture thickens and begins to gently boil.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
