Sweet And Sour Lentils Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups homemade vegetable or chicken broth | ||

| 1 cup picked-over and washed dried lentils, yellow or green split peas, or Mack-eyed peas | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), finely chopped | |

| Nutmeg | 1/8 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Vegetable oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Apple cider | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Cider vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 3 tablespoons brown sugar, molasses, or honey | ||
Directions
1. Bring the broth to a boil in a kettle and add the bay leaf, salt, and lentils. Cover and simmer gently for 30 minutes.
