Sweet And Sour Ginger Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
2 1/2 inch (6 cm) slice fresh ginger, finely chopped
1/2 cup (125 ml) vinegar
1/2 cup (125 ml) pineapple juice
1 tbsp (15 ml) sherry
2 tbsp (30 ml) cornstarch blended with 1/3 cup (85 ml) water
4 oz (110 g) Chinese pickle, thinly sliced
Directions
1 In a saucepan, combine sugar, ginger, vinegar, pineapple juice and sherry. Bring to a boil and stir in blended cornstarch and water to thicken. Stir in Chinese pickle.
