Sweet and Sour Flank Steak Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 pound beef flank steak, pounded thin and and scored
1 large onion, sliced
1 green pepper, cut into slivers
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Directions
Combine pineapple juice, cider vinegar, tomato sauce and Worcestershire; set aside.
Place meat in 12x8-inch dish.
Top with onions and green peppers.
Pour sauce over meat.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Cook at MEDIUM-LOW 23 to 25 minutes, or until meat is tender.
Halfway through cooking, turn meat over.
Place meat and vegetables on serving dish.
Pour sauce into 4-cup glass measure.
Blend cornstarch with water until smooth.
Stir into sauce.
Cook at HIGH 4 to 5 minutes; stir twice.
