Sweet And Pungent Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 1/2 cups canned pineapple chunks
1 green pepper, cut in strips
2 small onions, cut in rings
1 pound shrimp, cleaned and cooked
Directions
1. In a saucepan mix the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add the vinegar, soy sauce, ginger and syrup drained from the pineapple and cook slowly until slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
2. Add the green pepper, onions and pineapple and simmer two minutes.
