Directions

Saute the onion in a small amount of butter or margarine.
Combine the onion, ground beef, ground pork, eggs, cracker crumbs, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg in a large bowl and mix well.
Shape into 1 to 2 inch balls.
Arrange in a 9xl3-inch baking dish or broiler pan.
Pour a mixture of the soup mix and water over the meatballs.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, turning meatballs once.
Uncover if more browning is desired.
Remove meatballs to a serving dish and thicken the drippings with a small amount of flour to make a gravy.
