Ingredients

 
Ginger- 1/2 teaspoon
 
Cinnamon- 1 stick
 
Whole Cloves- 1/2 teaspoon
 
Water- 4 1/2 quart
 
Sugar- 3 cup
 
Lemons- 12 medium, freshly squeezed
 
Oranges- 8 medium, freshly squeezed
 
Raspberry Juice- 1 can

Directions

MAKING
1) Place ginger, cloves and cinnamon on a cheese cloth and tie the corners together to make bundle.
2) In a kettle, place together water and sugar, heat and bring to a boil.
3) Simmer the sugar mixture until thick and syrupy.
4) Remove the kettle from heat add the spice bundle.

FINALIZING
5) Allow syrup to stand for 8 minutes.
6) Take out the spice bag from syrup and discard.
7) Mix in the fruit juices and reheat to serving temperature.

SERVING
8) Serve warm in a tall glass, garnish with slice of lemon if desired.
